Sensational Laptops For Gaming 2021 – Your Next Choice is Here!

Best Laptops for Gaming

The best gaming laptops must combine a great CPU with a quality GPU for the best performance.
There are also many laptops that come with graphics on the CPU. This isn’t ideal for gaming scenario but is a great value proposal for just normal desktop work.

Beyond the CPU options storage and RAM are important considerations with games becoming larger and requiring more ram with online gaming scenarios. A good SSD or M.2 drive is great for compact storage and prices are coming back quickly so a great cost option.

The best gaming laptops today also come with beautiful crisp high refresh screens around 144hz to make the experience so much more fantastic. High resolution displays like 1440p and more are becoming available but 1080P is still the main focus in the gaming market place.

Virtual reality is growing in popularity as more second and third generation headsets are released to consumers. The gaming laptop has also to deliver the performance for the mobile VR gamer as well as the non VR gamer alike. VR is much more taxing on a system so the better system you can afford the better for maximum enjoyment.

Battery life is an important consideration and unplugged gaming sessions will need a good one so look carefully at this aspect of your new gaming laptop.

Gaming Laptop Processors – What to choose for gaming

Gaming laptop performance is very reliant on how many cores and their overall speed measured in Ghz. The Intel portable processors are the H series of chips offering 4-6 cores with great performance but battery life suffers if your on the move and gaming.

H Series Processors:
The top on the Intel choices is the Core i9-8950HK. This processor gives you a top speed of 4.8 Ghz and a base of 2.9 Ghz. Its power consumption is going to be higher but so is the performance with its 12 threads and Intel UHD 630 built in graphics. The H series chips are the power end of the scale but are power hungry for their great
performance. The chips come in H, HQ and Hk which are designed for overclocking. Great performance but much shorter battery life.

G series Processors
The G series processors offer much better performance on the graphics. They downside is the overall gaming performance isn’t as good as the H Series processors.
These generally have Radeon RX Vega M GL or Intel UHD 630 graphics processors.
These are ok for light gaming, productivity and some photo editing generally.
U & Y Processors.

The remaining processor choices are designated U & Y and these are in the budget laptops primarily. These are not designed for gaming but if that’s not your focus one of these will give you longer battery life and fair performance.
