Welcome to LetsflyVFR freeware scenery downloads page. Here you will find all the FREEWARE I use personally including aircraft, airports as well as useful utilities and more.
All are stored on my own Cloud storage just waiting for you to download and enjoy.
Here you will also find the scenery airports I have created in WED or World Editor. These also can be downloaded for free for you to enjoy. My focus initially is smaller local airports but if your nice and you would like an airport built for your local region I may be able to do that for you on occasion. If your looking for a small regional airport to get built then please message me below in the comments.
World Editor is an amazingly easy program that you all can use to build your dream airports, towns as well as cities. If you need forests or people to bring your airport into a realistic life like representation of what your building.
Lets Fly VFR – Freeware Scenery WED Airports
I have enjoyed building airport scenery for myself and other over the last few years. I have a collection I am rebuilding for my own region of South Australia. These are airports I have personally flown to in my Light Sport Aircraft Flying.
I have stared with my FREEWARE Downloads version of Adelaide Soaring Club YGAW as well as Truro Flat Air Park and Aldinga in my introduction to WED. I hope you enjoy these airports and the many more to come. Please note you may have to get some extra scenery libraries if you get scenery errors. The default X Plane 11 Laminar Research library is ok but I find does not have the selection I need to get more accurate airports.
Scenery Libraries Used Creating My Airports
The list to the left are my current libraries that you may need if you get faults with scenery. I am new to sharing so I will update this if I find a need.
Please Visit XPLANE.org to download your scenery libraries for now but it wont be long before you will find them here ready to download.
There are libraries with animated aircraft to make your flying interesting I often place some random aircraft within 10nm of airports I build so keep your eyes open for gliders, powered parachutes and aircraft.

GAWLER AIRPORT – YGAW – Download Available
Adelaide Soaring Club is my own flight school where I flew Jabiru 160.170 and 230 Aircraft.
Its designation is YGAW and is located north of Adelaide in South Australia. It is 165ft AMSL – Mag Variation is -8 Deg. Operating Training flights Wednesday and Saturday there is daily activity on its two runways. They are R 23/05 plus 13/31.
The Airport is an air force base from WW2 now populated with lots of private Light Sport, Ultralight and Gliders.
I hope ou enjoy my rendition of YGAw. Best enjoyed with Ortho scenery.
Bordertown – YBOR – Download Available
Bordertown Airport is located on the border of South Australia and Victoria. It is a small regional airport used mainly by private pilots.
The airport is 265Ft AMSL as well as being 9 degrees East magnetically. It operated one hard and one grass runway
This is a small airport requested by a subscriber. I hope you enjoy this airport. CTAF 126.7
ALDINGA – YADG – Download Available
Aldinga Airport (YADG) is located just south of the Adelaide on the plains between the north south Adelaide hills to the east and the sea to the west. A very beautiful location this airport it operates a number of runways as well as plenty of private hangars, joy flights as well as a Restaurant.
Runways include 03/21 as well as 14/32. Note no flying between 10PM and Sunrise. FYI. I have flown here a number of times and its always challenging with airspace to the north , multiple runways and generally windy. I hope you enjoy this little creation.
Truro Air Park – Download Available
Truro Air Park is a small airport surrounded by forests about 1 hr by car east of Adelaide. It has the Barossa Valley separating the coastal airports to this airport on the plains. With a thriving private community this airport includes runways, Hangars, 3D people as well as fly by aircraft so be careful. I have located gliders and powered gliders around the airport. It is truly VFR flying.
The Airport also includes accurately placed Forests and 3D grass on the airfield.
The Airport is privately owned by the Barossa Birdmen inc. Truro Air Park operates on CTAF Freq CTAF 126.7. Melbourne Centre 125.3. Unicom 126.7, call sign ‘Truro Flats’.

Jamestown Airport – Download Available
Jamestown Airport (YJST) is a small regional airport used by private pilots and some commercial spraying and firefighting. Jamestown is 1550 ft AMSL at 7 deg East Magnetic variation with a single runway 34/16. Surrounded by hills with the township to the south west of the airport. It hosts some airshows and has had some improvements with a new club house in recent times.
World Editor Tutorial
World Editor by Laminar Research is an incredibly easy tool to create airports, towns and cities if you wish. It is merely a drag and drop solution. Simply select the object from the X Plane 11 Laminar Research library or add more libraries from x plane.org into your custom scenery folder in X Plane and they will be available.
Libraries consist of 3d objects like hangars, cars, aircraft, trees and even people to bring your creations to life.
Download it HERE and get creating by watching the video and you will be amazed what you can create!
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
To install thee airports please click on any of the links and download the ZIP file.
Extract the Zip file to your X PLANE 11 Custom Scenery folder and start playing.
If you experience any issues please let me know.
This is the FIRST TIME I have done this so there may be some things to work out.
