Ziln-142
The Ziln-142 is an extremely well put together and VR capable as I have spent lots of time trying to kill myself doing stupid things in it.
The download also comes with its own airport which is very well detailed. The flight model is excellent and the aircraft has a positive takeoff roll and climb with a little trip and Rudder to keep it straight. It’s is effortless in a roll, loop and spinning the Ziln-142 is certainly something you should do with some altitude in VR. It’s pretty exciting. The ground handling is pretty easy and vice less.
The model is highly detailed with all switches animated using KPH on then gauges takes a bit of getting use to. The interior and exterior textures are a top quality with a couple skins included. I love this little plane even though it’s French!
Cirrus SR-22 – Hold my Beer!
The Cirrus SR-22 has been available for some time created by “Hold my Beer” developers. the aircraft is very well appointed and comes with HDR textures, it’s own tablet where you can manage the aircraft maintenance and many other features regarding flight planning and much more.
I doubt the cockpit quite dark with primarily black instrument panel with its glass cockpit. The flying qualities of this freeware mod are excellent as you would expect with great performance cross country and a gentle stall characteristics. Certainly a beautiful aircraft to put in tour freeware aircraft hanger. The new Turbo powered engine will give you even more performance on your next flight. Highly Recommended!
ROBIN DR-401 by Aerobask!
The Robin Dr-401 is a French designed single engine four seat aircraft built primarily of wood with a fabric skinned wing. Certainly a popular aircraft it cruises in the low 100 knot range, has a gentle stall characteristics and is a lot of fun to do aerobatics and stalls in X Plane 11.
This model was originally a payware aircraft and the developers decided to give it to the community. The aircraft is 4k HDR textured with 3d cockpit and beautifully skinned and detailed. It’s a real delight to fly! Highly Recommended!
Yack 18T
The Yack 18T is an extremely popular training aircraft in Russia. It has a powerful 200hp plus engine with five seats and is even Aerobatic. The aircraft boasts 4k HDR textures, full 3D cockpit and instrumentation and is VR ready.
If your looking for a new fun aerobatic aircraft this one is a little different than Western designs and I am sure you will beginning from ear to ear with this quality freeware aircraft.
Navion 205 by vFlyteAir Simulations
The Navion 205 is an older 1948 designed aircraft. It has great performance and includes the model comes with HDR textures and is VR ready with a full 3D cockpit and it’s own HMOD sound pack.
Powered by a 260 Hp engine the aircraft can carry 1 pilot and 3 passengers. It cruises at 150 knots so it’s a good vintage cross country option with a range of about 500nm.
Built by the same company as the venerable P-51 Mustang this aircraft can take off or land in about 400ft and can climb at 1200 fpm to an altitude of 18000 ft. It’s certainly quite a performance aircraft for its day.
Lancair Legacy FG by Aerobask.
The Legacy Lancair by Aerobask is another freeware offering from the company. This little rocket comes with glass cockpit, variable propeller and a lot of performance. Quite fast this little two seat pocket rocket is fun to fly as well as excellent aerobatic aircraft in X-Plane 11. Aerobask offer payware versions with retractable undercarriage if your keen on some extra performance.

Spitfire Mk IX – Freeware.
The Spitfire is an iconic aircraft and why wouldn’t you want it in your virtual hanger collection. The narrow undercarriage requires some rudder and elevator skills to ensure you don’t ground loop the aircraft and crash. Once in the air it is a majestic aircraft to have control of looping and rolling with ease. Capable of great speeds and is so easy to fly this fighter will bring a grin to your face whenever you climb aboard.
The Spitfire comes with FMOD sound, 4K HDR pack and is VR ready and again combat ready with the cannon and machine guns needing to be selected to fire.
Hurricane Fighter by Nils at ND Art & Technology
The work horse of the battle of Britain the Hurricane is often overshadowed by the Spitfire. It’s contribution to the war effort cannot be denied. It’s primary role was to hit the Luftwaffe bombers hard while the Spitfires kept the BF-109s fighters busy.
The X Plane 11 model comes as you would expect with 4k HDR textures as well as FMOD sounds, is VR ready and has a full 3D cockpit.
