If you have a local airport that has little or no detail you can click a few objects and make the airport a great representation of what you see in real life.
The process is often just selecting objects like buildings, people (some animated) as well as textures for runways or specific areas and so much more. Click on a menu item and then click to place it on your new airport.
Once complete you can upload your newly updated airport to X Plane 12 via the portal and if accepted it will be released as many are every month in updates. Join the scenery community and have a great time. Its very rewarding.
The Gawler airport (YGAW) is my local flying club and it was absolutely bare! I added hangers and textures, taxi ways, people and even a few random aircraft. It took a little time but in no time it came to life with a few more trees and fences then Wala! It was done! Its been further updated since this evolution and is even more accurate.
